Important Information

  • We do not sell through travelling salesmen. All purchases are made on location at our shop.
  • We do not sell through brochures or any other printed promotions.
  • Our team photos are current. If you don’t see someone in our photos, they are not part of the Second Chance team.
  • Second Chance branded clothing does not guarantee employment with us. Please be vigilant of fraudsters.
  • We are not a charity shop. While we are grateful for the generosity of our community, we pay for every item sold in our shop.
  • We are fully tax compliant with SARS and contribute to VAT on a monthly basis.
  • Second Chance is a registered second-hand goods dealer and operates in accordance with the Second-Hand Goods Act. We are monitored and inspected regularly by the SAPS.
  • We abide by the governing labour laws of South Africa to ensure a safe and fair working environment for our team.

Selling to Second Chance

  • Please send photos when looking to sell items
  • Please provide honest details about your items
  • Our right to amend quotes is determined by your honesty
  • We do not buy melamine items
  • Location is NB, as collection is included
  • Due to the cost of fuel & time, we cannot collect for quotes under R1000 – you are welcome to deliver
  • Small items: kitchen contents, decorative items, curtains, and linen are valued in bulk on receipt – please do not overwhelm us with photos of these small items
  • In compliance with the law, we require a copy of your ID & address
  • Payment is by EFT, after collection, within 24 hours
  • Appliances are tested before payment
